Our Daily Bread Sketch Challenge and more

Greetings!!  Whoa, life is busy right now so I’m coming up for air today and have two things to share with you, so I hope you manage to stick with me to the end of the post (wink, wink).  As I wrap up the patriotic cards using the May releases from Our Daily Bread Designs this is a challenge card made using the God Bless America set.   ODBD issued a challenge to everyone on May 2nd and I’m bringing up the rear here to remind you that you still have a day to submit a card.

On my card I want to highlight one of the products I used that I used – Ornare Templates.  Kelley keeps them in stock in the store (when she can keep me out of them) .  The vertical blue panel is pierced with a long Ornare template which is a fairly rigid metal template that you can pierce using an awl, pin or a pointed stylus.  A piece like this is quick and takes me about 5 minutes to pierce.

Here is the information about the challenge and how to play along:

  1. Using the sketch above, create a project that reflects your personal style.
  2. Use stamps from any company and as few or as many embellishments as you would like.  You may use any colors  and papers as well.
  3. Submit your project by linking to this blog in the comment section below.  If you upload to SCS, please use both of these keywords:
    ODBD
    ODBDSC03
  4. This challenge will officially end at NOON CST on Friday, May 15th.

And now for the prizes!  Three winners will be chosen Friday night, May 15th and each will receive ONE of the new releases!  To be eligible to win one of the new sets, you must use ODBD stamps in your sketch. Winners will be announced right here the morning of May 16th.

One more winner will be chosen from those using non-ODBD stamps, and this winner will receive a beautiful bottle of Shimmerz, one of the Bread Basket’s favorite products!

We hope you will play along with us!

Also, I have closed comments for the post outlining the Blog Candy because we have a winner!!  Using Random.org I pulled the following number:

Here is the lucky winner (as long as I’m contacted within the next 48 hours)!!  After 48 hours I’ll choose another number through random.org if the prize has not been claimed.

Norine, just send me an email through my contact page with your address and I’ll acknowledge receipt and get your items in the mail.

In the meantime, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the feedback I received.   I second guessed myself on a long list of things I have on my idea list  waiting to be created, but with your feedback, now I know I can move forward with them!
