Our Daily Bread Designs – May Releases Blog Hop

Welcome to the Our Daily Bread Designs May Release Blog Hop!  There are more than eight new sets this month not to mention a die template for a new border and an embossing plate.  If you collect sentiments – the variety this month is huge and matches were made to Spellbinders templates.  If you got here from Sandee’s fabulous blog, you are in the right place!  If not, you might want to start at the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog and hop from there!  If you encounter any broken links – the entire hop list is posted on the ODBD Blog :-)

For the hop particulars be sure to read my entire post, and if you leave a comment here to enter the contest for prizes, please remember that comments entered on my blog may not appear immediately.  Please give it several minutes and hit refresh to see your comment. In the meantime I have a card to share today.  The toughest thing was figuring out which of all the release items I was going to use, lol.  I settled with using the new background and one of the sentiments from the new Porch set.  I pulled together a frilly card in pink and cream and as you have seen lately, I really like a petticoat look.  I alternated layers of Prima Lace with Spellbinders Grand Lace Border and a layered medallion to frame my sentiment.

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs – Porch, Vintage Border Background
Paper: Coredinations
Ink: Colorbox Chalk Ink – Blush Rose
Accessories: Spellbinders Labels Eighteen, Spellbinders Labels Twenty, Spellbinders Lacey Ovals, Spellbinders Big Scalloped Border, Petites, Pearls, Ribbon

Hop Particulars:
The Hop will run from 8:00 am Eastern Time on May 1st until 8:00 pm Eastern Time on May 2nd. The winners will be announced on the ODBD Blog on Tuesday, May 3rd. For this special event, there will be FIVE PRIZES.  Each winner will get a $25.00 ODBD Gift Certificate.

How to Enter the Drawing:
*Leave comments for each designer on each blog.
*Return to the ODBD Blog and leave a comment, telling us you completed the hop
*Note any blogs you were unable to comment on.

    Hi Becca~

Wow!!!!!!! I love this “petticoat” look, too! The pink and white are such refreshing colors…they are wonderful for this particular Scripture. I don’t know how you can keep everything so perfectly straight. And, not hurt your eyes adding all of those beautiful little pearls. They are darling! Of course, your bow is stunning! It is beautiful ribbon. I love the focal point for the Scripture. The pearls and the special Vintage stamping behind it…all on it’s own special “plaque.” It certainly draws the eye to the most important part of the card. It is wonderful!

While I picked “room shared with another function” (guest bedroom = 1/2), it isn’t really the whole picture because of course the bed/daybed is usually covered with crafting “stuff”, plus I have my cuttlebug & Spellbinder dies set up in the next room (den) in/on a desk. Also when I need to do 2 page layouts (doing grandchildren numbers 3 & 4’s H.S. graduation books-multiple per child – 2 more to go after these), I move to the dining room and use the big table. So, I probably should have picked “none of the above”.ReplyCancel

Such a beautiful, over-the-top card! The pearls are so elegant. I made some cards this weekend and went big-time with the pearls for Mother’s Day cards and wonder why I’ve been so lazy before. Thanks for your continuing inspiration.ReplyCancel
