Our Daily Bread Designs January 2012 Release Blog Hop

Sweet Blog Friends, Happy New Year!  Welcome to the Our Daily Bread Designs January Release Blog Hop Now, if you got here from Sandee’s fabulous blog, you are in the right place!  If not, you might want to start at the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog and hop from there!  If you encounter any broken links – the entire hop list is posted on the ODBD Blog :-) There are lots of goodies in store for you with the new release – you can see them all HERE.

For my project I did something I almost never do . . . make a masculine card.  Yes, still with a bow, but I’d feel all right giving this to my son.  The stamps for this Our Daily Bread Designs release have the feel of grunge or collage, and the sentiment is an absolute keeper.  The name of the set I used is Never Give Up.

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs Never Give Up
Paper: Die Cuts with a View, Neenah Classic Cres Cream
Ink: CTMH – Juniper
Accessories:Spellbinders Classic Circles SM, Spellbinders Fancy Tags Three, Spellbinders Scallop Edgeabilities, Button, Zva Creative Pearls, Lace, Seam Binding

Hop Particulars:
The Hop will run from 8:00 am Eastern Time on January 1st until 8:00 pm Eastern Time on January 2nd. The winners will be announced on the ODBD Blog on January 3rd.  For this special event, there will be FIVE PRIZES  – you may be able to win a $20.00 Gift Certificate for ODBD Stamps:-)

Gosh this is odd Becca, I have only just left my crafting goal comment for you on your previous post and now I’ve come to your card for today and it says, ‘Never, never, never give up’. After reading my comment you will understand the irony for me. But, thank you, it seems it was meant just for me today.
This is a lovely card and so different. I could not, however, ever give it to one of my sons; they would look at me with a stupid grin and ask if I had forgotten who they were! I am not allowed to use ribbon, flowers, bling… well nothing they class as girly! But hey, I was blessed with a daughter also, so I can send it all her way. :)
    All the best LindaReplyCancel

It is a pretty card but I don’t think it is a masculine card.
I have to find some sentiment in French because yours with our Daily Bread match so well some reality and we don’t have this in French.
So for my second goal search French sentiment.
    Merci beaucoup!

  • Charlotte ZweigoronJanuary 1, 2012 - 11:41 pm

This card definitely says “Becca”! One of my goals for this upcoming year, as I mentioned yesterday, is to expand my supply of cards for the guys. Almost everything I have sold this past year has been purchased by ladies for gentlemen. The next goal is to catalogue all my stamps so I can see at the flip of a page what I have without having to rummage through all of them to find what might be appropriate for the card I have in mind.ReplyCancel

  • FrannJanuary 2, 2012 - 2:18 am

An elegant card but I wouldn’t send it to a guy. My second crafting goal for the new year is to get and keep a head start. I need to have some cards– get well, sympathy, etc. done ahead of time so I’m not always caught short when something unexpected comes up. I also need to stop waiting until the last minute to make birthday and anniversary cards. I’m tired of the stress I cause myself by not being prepared. Procrastination serves no purpose!ReplyCancel
