Our Daily Bread Designs February Blog Hop

Welcome to Our Daily Bread Designs January Release Blog Hop! If you made your way here from Lorelie Kim, you are in the right place!   If not, you might want to go to the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog and start from there so you don’t miss anyone!  There will be six fabulous prizes this month: if you are one of the lucky winners, you’ll get your pick of one of the new ODBD fish stamp sets or if you are the grand prize winner, you will get the Bread Basket Bundle. The prizes are hidden on various blogs along the hop, so it is important that you visit and comment on each one.

The Hop will run February 1st at 8am Eastern and will end at 8pm Eastern February 2nd. The winners will be randomly selected from the commenters that complete the hop and answer the question on the ODBD Blog. Winners will be announced on the ODBD Blog on February 3rd.

So here’s what you need to do to be in the running:

1. Leave a comment for each of the designers in the hop. Just in case you get stuck, remember the entire list is posted on the ODBD Blog.
2. Leave a comment on the ODBD Blog that you completed the blog hop (make a note if there’s someone’s blog that wouldn’t take a comment). Be sure to answer the Blog Hop question you find there :-)
3. Cross your lucky fingers and toes and hope that one of the bloggers who have the hidden prizes pick you!!   Be sure to check the ODBD Blog on February 3rd to see if you won!!

For my card, I started with inspiration from the new background set by Our Daily Bread Designs named He Shall Be Called.  It simply seemed so regal that I decided I wanted to go with a dressy card.   I cut down this large piece of lacey  Anna Griffin paper to a 6″ x6″ size and added a mat on the interior to hold my background.  Once the background was stamped, I cut/embossed both Spellbinders Lacey Ovals and Spellbinders Classic Ovals SM to make a frame and then I laid in that delightfully frilly Spellbinders Fancy Tags Two.  It fits perfectly – sweet serendipity!  The sentiment I used is from the new Anchor set and I was determined it was going inside that tag.  To ensure placement, I stamped first then cut.  Because I could see through my Spellbinders die to frame the text, I had no issues hitting it the very first time!!   Amazing new sets, hunh!!  Be sure you leave a comment so that you have the chance to win.  Just sayin’!

SUPPLIES I USED:
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs – Anchor, He Shall Be Called (Background)
Paper: Anna Griffin (Michaels), Bazzill, Gold Foil
Ink : Versamark and Gold Embossing Powder
Accessories : Spellbinders Lacey Ovals, Spellbinders Fancy Tags Two, Spellbinders Classic Ovals SM, Pearls, Ribbon, Button

Without further ado, I’ll pass you along to someone who is certain to dazzle you with her elegant and classic style, Grace Nywening.  Best of luck to you as you make your way along the hop, I hope you win!

When I first saw the verse I thought it must be on an acrylic overlay. I also expected the lace was created by a Grand-sized Spellbinder. You’re full of surprises today – everyone of them terrific, as always.ReplyCancel

Your mini-booklet tutorial from the other day (with the tag envelopes folded in), was sooo cool. Gave me a chance to use up some 8.5 x 11 papers . . . and am having a BLAST making small gifts out of them for friends . . . I used my Cricut to cut the “wish flower” graphic and used a stamp that reads “If I had one wish, I’d wish for more wishes” . . .then another stamp on the first inside page that reads, “And give them all to you!” Then my tags and pages contain my “wishes” . . .like “happiness”, “blessings”, “health”, “memories”, etc. I have tons of one-word sentiment stamps that I can now stamp onto tags and slip into the pages or stick on the pages themselves. THANK YOU and God bless for sharing your talents and ideas with us all!!!!! DebReplyCancel

I just love the lacey border to this card. What a beautiful addition it makes and how clever of you. This card is just gorgeous, but I think that of all of your projects. You just never let down when it comes to beauty and creativity. I have never seen any of Anna Griffin papers that are die cut like this, I will have to make a trip to Michaels and see if I can get some of this. I missed the blog hop at ODBD on the 1st, but will see if I can check it out today. Just to many CHA recaps to follow this past week.
