Good morning sweet blog friends. Welcome to the Our Daily Bread Designs August Release Blog Hop!! It has been wonderful to play with new toys and today we have some very useful gifts to share. I’m always looking for something different to give when cardmaking and our release this month fits the bill. If you arrived here from Grace’s blog, you are in the right place! For my creation this month, I’m sharing a card with a bookmark in a pocket!! I’m sharing one of the many sets created to go with these bookmark die templates – if you’d like to see the whole shebang pop over to the website HERE to take a look. For the bookmark I selected the largest and the smaller elements and chose to layer them, but I could just as easily have stamped directly on the larger panel. I do like the look of the two bookmarks stacked and they are still effectively flat. For my card, I cut the upper panel extra wide so that I could fold it over to make a pocket with a flap. I lined the flap with the third largest template from Spellbinders™ Decorative Labels Eight, then added my pearls and a Peg Bow Maker Bow (4 wraps at 3.5″).

As always, your card is beautiful Becca. I love everything about your card, but I really appreciate how you used the bookmark in a pocket on the card. I don’t normally make only tags or bookmarks. I prefer to have them as a little gift on the card. It is a great way of including something special on a card for someone you don’t normally give a gift to. The bookmark is also wonderful as a gift on a card for someone in the hospital or nursing home.
At first I was disappointed that the new release was bookmarks, but your card made me realize that I would love the bookmarks for the reasons I mentioned above! Thank you for jogging my imagination!

This is so lovely…so elegant…and so TRUE! I love the Scripture used on the bookmark…it is one I learned as a little girl! My Rabbi used to close services in the Synagogue with this Verse. Now I know the full meaning of it, because I know the Lord, Christ Jesus.
This is a lovely gift. I love the pearls and how the card is monochromatic. What a beautiful piece!
