ODBD March Release Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Our Daily Bread Designs March Release Blog Hop!

If you arrived here from Debi Southard’s Blog, you are in the right place!

If not, you might want to start at the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog to be sure you hop in the correct order.  Why?  We are having a Special Message Hop, and you will be collecting our Secret  Words as you hop along, and since you’ll have to assemble them in the correct order, you will want to pick them up in the order given!

Here’s What You Need to Know to Win:

  • You have until Tuesday March 2nd at 8:00PM EST to finish the requirements to be eligible to win.

  • There will be TWO BLESSED WINNERS. . . who will each receive a $15.00 Gift Certificate to the Our Daily Bread Designs Store to go toward the stamps of your choice!

  • Winners will be randomly chosen from all the qualified entries and announced on Wednesday, March 3rd on the ODBD Blog!!

Here’s What You Need to Do to Win:

  • Hop from blog to blog in the order given below, writing down the secret words you will find clearly in the post of each Design Team Member.  Then you must leave a comment on each blog.

  • Email  Grace at:  gnywening@yahoo.com and give her the secret words you found in the correct order . . . .  the ODBD Design Team has a special message for you!

If for any reason a link is broken, simply return to the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog  to see who is next on the list, leaving a space for the missing words.  Blog hop morning is a busy time for blogs so if you are unable to leave a comment, you should have good success if you wait and go back later.

Now for my card for today.  We have three sets that are being released today and  they have the most stunning flowers.  You can see all the new releases HERE.  Today I’m using a new set called The Lord Has Risen.   I jump at every chance I get to use my Graphic 45 stash – that paper is so majestic (Renaissance) and to me it fits perfectly with the grand sentiments that Kelley selects for her sets.   For this card I simply cut with the AllDeco Punch and layered the card.  The edges are smudged with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  I used Copics right on the design paper with no problem at all!

 Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs –
Paper:  Graphic 45 – Enlightenment, Prima Cardstock – First Blush
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Versafine – Black Onyx, Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Accessories:  ALLDeco Punch, Pearls, Ribbon, Copic Markers

Before you go, I want to tell you about the exciting events we have planned for you this month!   March 17th is the Second Anniversary of Our Daily Bread Designs, and I promise you, you will not want to miss it!!!   Be sure to check the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog on Sunday, March 7th!  We will be announcing fun challenges that will run March 13 – 16 so you can get a head start on them.  Then beginning on Saturday,  March 13, we will be announcing a daily challenge and there will be wonderful prizes EVERY DAY!   On March 17 we will have another Blog Hop, revealing the Special Edition Anniversary Release!  I hope we’ll see you then!!!

Mwah, thanks for hanging in there with me, I know that was a lot of information!!  Now I’ll send you on to the marvelously talented Kathy Jones with an amazing creation!

This you need to know – my secret word is sweet,

Stunning card. I always enjoy visiting your site.

    Regarding the punch:
paperwishes.com has 5 different punches using the magnetic, two piece system which create borders, hexagons, pentagons, squares, triangles & corners. They mention that they “work best on lighter papers”. Cost $22.99. I keep looking at them, but have not bought any yet so cannot comment on useability. Your card looks fantastic, though.ReplyCancel

    Hi Becca~

I love how you use your art to teach us how to do some things…like making flowers from crepe paper, and showing us which particular copics you used in this gorgeous card. I love how you colored the violets the most. I am going to hav a hard time choosing between violets and Lily of the Valley…and the Daffodil is beautiful, too! LOL

The highlands of Scotland are indeed breathtaking. The mist fown below and the mountain tops peeking out covered with heather are a sight to behold. You cannot ever doubt there is a God when you see them. When we were there a lone bagpiper dressed in full Highland garb was there playing Amazing Grace. I have chills just thinking about it now and it was over 15 years ago that we were there.

I look forward everyday to seeing your creations. They are such an inspiration to me. My card maker friend gave me such a compliment on my Valentine’s day card when she said. “Very Becca Feeken, my dear”

    Be blessed,

    Alicia V.ReplyCancel
