ODBD Sneak Peek and Gratitude – New Cuttlebug Folder

It has been a busy week but finally last night after taking care of all the Blog Candy business, I was able to steal away to do some stamping. Thanks for dropping by to leave a comment…my family was helping me cut up the entries and were amazed at all the kind remarks.  Hehe, now they understand why I like to disappear to the craft room to create!

Speaking of create, I rarely get to participate in challenges but I decided to do the Wednesday Card Sketch Challenge SC189  on Splitcoaststampers.  The layout is very basic but we were not allowed to add a lot to the top panel – just a small sentiment and some embellishments.  That almost did me in, ya know.  I have to have layers, and borders, but at least I had my cuttlebug and you probably haven’t seen this one yet.

I couldn’t resist another sneak peek; this is one sentiment, the smallest sentiment, from the Hope Set that will be available beginning Friday, August 18th from Our Daily Bread Designs.  The bottom pink layers use the wonderful textured Prism Prismatics paper in the Pink Pack with three coordinating shades of pink – also available at ODBD.  Lucky for me these shades are very warm and match magnificently with the pink stamp pads I have.  I ran my cuttlebug embossing folder with 90 lb watercolor paper, simply embellished with pearls and added a ribbon.  The sentiment is cut out with a McGill word tag punch and the Martha Stewart Scalloped Border punch seemed to fit well in between the pearls.  So there you have it, finally a card and my table is clean and ready for me to go back and do more.  Have a wonderful day!

I have several of the cuttlebug embossing folders, and have been afraid to check out the new releases for fear that I would not contain myself and would be far poorer than I want to be….but, I love this folder you used today, what is the name of it? I absolutely loved the card and can think of two people immediately that could benefit from it and the sentiment.

    Thanks for sharing it!
