But It’s “Not” Christmas Blog Hop

Don’t you just love a die that does double duty?  We thought so!  Today we’re are having a blog hop to show you how the dies in The Charming Christmas Collection can be used year around; after all, it’s not Christmas.  No worries, Christmas is coming and we’ll press A Charming Christmas back into service this year but in the meantime, please join us for some year-round inspiration and a giveaway at the bottom of the post.

It’s Not Christmas but About A Charming Christmas

When I designed A Charming Christmas my goal was to leave you with lovely romantic frames to be paired with shapes and with charms.  My thought was that if you leave the charms in the package, you have a lovely ‘everyday’ die that is begging to be used all year round.  Hop around with us as we reintroduce you to the non-Christmas side of A Charming Christmas.

My Projects For Today

I’m happy to say that this beauty is now back in stock!!  The die I’m showing today is S6-153 Charming Cottage Box.

This is one of my all time favorite dies because you can essentially make it into anything and use it for any occasion.  I love to go into my die and glimmer plate stash looking for items to dress this up.  If you think about it, even if you don’t have a big die stash, a strategic piece of scrapbook paper has the power to change this into any themed project.

My favorite use is to add a border.  To one of the boxes I added a glimmered border by putting the border on the page before cutting.  For the other, I die cut a border.  This is my go to because it’s easy and it and makes me get out those lovely borders I have and use them.  I cut the box, assemble the box and then tack the borders to the box with white glue – it doesn’t get easier than that.

    Hey Becca,
Just got back from Scrapbook Expo in Orlando for the past 2 days. Had a blast so some friends from earlier years. Of course bought a lot but mostly supplies, a few dies. Was so happy to see this when I turned on the computer. I was going to buy this die last Christmas and didn’t. Now I have to have it. Loved how you did the little gingerbread house with it last year! Hope everything is going well for you.
