Mr. and Mrs.

Hi there sweet blog friends!!  I love making wedding cards so today I have a new one to add to the stash!  Keep in mind I’m still playing around with new Spellbinders Die Templates and I love making filigree kind of flowers so a new one.  I love the lacey look and you’ll be a little bit surprised what I used.  Of course I was tickled to use the new JustRite Papercrafts set released this month called Ever After Antique Labels – it has all your wedding/anniversary celebration cards covered.

Of the new dies, there is the sweetest little frame in Spellbinders™ Jewel Framed Sentiments – yep, this one is heading right up my favorites list.  I took the oval frame and cut it six times.  On the upper part of the frame there’s a hole that’s perfect for a brad so I stacked all six up, put in my brad then spread the ovals around like I was playing cards.   It was that easy!  Then I grabbed the new spiral flower Spellbinders™ Spiral Blossom Four and created a rose for the center then added corner pieces using Spellbinders™ Venetian Motifs.  I finished off with a tiny tag from Spellbinders™ Back to Basics Tags that was just the right size for my sentiment.  Ahhh, time to play – there’s nothing like it!

This card is one of my favorites! Absolutely beautiful! I love making paper roses but I don’t have a die. I do it free hand by drawing and cutting out a spiral. Did I mention Amazing Paper Grace is my “go to” website when I need card ideas? I love your style. I appreciate you sharing your talents. God Bless You!ReplyCancel

Grrrrrr! Just when I think there is a Spellbinders set that I convince myself I probably don’t need, you go and make something awesome from it!!! And now I have to have that oval so I can make that fabulous filagree flower. You are just a paper genius, Becca, I know I sound like a broken record, but I honestly think you could make a beautiful card from a rusty tin can. What a gift you are to the paper world.ReplyCancel

This is beautiful Becca, I was asked just the other day to make a wedding card. This is a wonderful idea. I love that you think outside of the box when you look at dies. Pushing them to a new and wonderfully creative place. I often wonder will I get much use from tiny wee dies, but this tiny die fits perfectly with this card & sentiment.ReplyCancel

Just don’t know how you do it! Another masterpiece. As said before, just when I think I can get by without a particular die, then you come out with something like this! AMAZING PAPER GRACE- YOUR WEBSITE NAME DEFINITELY FITS YOU!
Could you sometime talk about the use of the seam binding for your ribbons. I look in Walmart for example and they are very limited in choice. Where do you buy yours?

Were your ears burning earlier…? I was chatting with a demonstrator here in the UK and mentioned an American papercrafting blog. She of course asked, ‘Amazing Paper Grace – Becca?’

  • Dottie DavisJuly 26, 2012 - 2:32 pm

Gorgeous card. Francie is right that nobody in the world would think of using frames in this manner around the rose. It always surprises me when you explain how you put these cards together using assorted dies. I can sit there for hours and not come up with this stuff. Amazing is the right word. Let the creative juices flow cause we all love the results. Not having all the latest and greatest dies does put in motion a way to try and emulate “kind of” the same result…close. LOL. Thanks Becca.ReplyCancel

Love that vintage look on the box and the card. The weaving technique looks like something I could actually do. Gonna have to put that Spellbinders Marvelous Squares dies in my collection and try your technique. Adding the sewing machine to the picture just gives the photo an added elegance. You are such an inspiration to us all. Thank you ever so much for caring enough to share your talents with us. God Bless, LindaReplyCancel

One question – what is your strategy for getting all the bits of paper out of the detailed cuts without wrecking the whole die cut? I just bought the Moroccan motifs [ I think it is called] and tried it on my cuttlebug but it didn’t work very well. Thanks for your help.ReplyCancel
