Miss You

by on October 30, 2012

Sweet blog friends – my prayers go out to you if you were affected by the monster storm. Please stay safe and I hope that your area is restored as soon as possible.  Once we were without power for five days after a hurricane and I was inspired to catalog all my stamps during that outage because it’s kind of a manual task a-hem . . . that I had been putting off.  In the meantime, I’m loving these sweet little Spellbinders Die D-Lites.  I’ve been playing around with them for the past month and they are sweet little die templates that are sold separately and are good on the budget :-)  You may wonder why you are just seeing them now – they were just released this week.  If you just can’t stand it, cover your eyes and when you are brave enough, take a peek HERE.  (I am dying to know what you think of them – really!!)  The D-Lite I’m using is called Spellbinders™ Medallion Two and I layered it with Spellbinders™ Twisted Metals Tags and Accents.  I pulled them together in a card featuring a wonderful border concept where JustRite Papercrafts created stamps to match Spellbinders Edgeabilities.  Here, Ive taken JustRite Papercrafts Classic Embroidered Edges Two (so delicate and reminds me of lace) and paired it with Spellbinders™ Classic Edges Two and polished it off with a sentiment from the Large Fancy Sentiments set.

Yes, purple is an odd color for me – but over the last year I’ve come to embrace it.    I raided my fabric stash for the sheer lilac embroidery used on the card.  I simply cut the bottom part away and used the edge – a wonderful find because it was just sitting around :-)

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: JustRite Papercrafts - Classic Embroidered Edges TwoLarge Fancy Sentiments
Paper: Coredinations, Die Cuts with a View,  Neenah Classic Crest Cream 80lb
Ink: Amuse Latte, Versafine Onyx Black
Accessories:  Spellbinders™ Medallion Two ,Spellbinders™ Twisted Metals Tags and Accents, Spellbinders™ Classic Edges Twoseam binding,  Recollections Pearls

As always, thanks so much for your kind words!!  They are so appreciated!

Oh, these new little spellbinder dies are just perfect. Can’t wait till they make an apperance in our neck of the woods. Love the colors on this card. These were my mom’s favorite color combination and so all who knew my mom well brought green yellow and purple flowers for her funeral. This will be our first Christmas without her here with us and we are all going to be at a lose as to how to handle Christmas this year. She loved Christmas and presents and silly reindeer songs and get togethers with the family. Anyway, these are just wonderful cards and I am still praying for you to enjoy good health. God bless my cyber friend. Denice

Hi Becca,

I love the way you have used the D-Lites; I have had these dies for a few months now because I live in the UK. At first I was a bit disappointed with them but over the past two weeks I’ve started to play with them and they are growing on me. Love your work (and the photographs).
Hugs Jean

I always look in the sewing departments when I go shopping, but I never find anything as sweet as this. Absolutely love your work and you too. You are such a blessing and I thank the good Lord for finding your blog. Can’t wait until the next kit comes in the mail, look forward to it sooooo much! A big thank you for offering it. Bless you.

I love the look of lilac and greens together but don’t grab for them often either. I love the accent with the pale yellow too. Lovely job as usual, and I will be checking out those D-Lites. Thanks for the beautiful inspiration and your words of kindness! We managed to weather the storm pretty well here in Central PA. :)
