Make a Wish

I hope you all don’t tire of seeing me use this die template – Spellbinders Nested Hearts.  It ranks at the top with my favorites.  For this card I simply scored through the high points on the peaks of the heart and combined several to get the round flower.  I did the same with the smaller heart in the set.   The corner piece is from Floral Accents and I added a sweet little tag using Tags Five.

Yes, it is a dimensional card so it takes a little bit of a different treatment to send it.  I find that I give these types of cards to my friends locally where I can hand deliver them.  But . . . it would be a shame to leave out my long distance friends, so I very often make a small shallow box that I put in a bubble wrap envelope then note that it’s fragile.  Where there’s a will there’s a way, right?

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Printworks
Paper:  Webster Pages (oops I’ll have to check on this), The Paper Company, Bazzill
Ink:  Colorbox Chalk Ink – Prussian Blue
Accessories:  Spellbinders™ Nested Hearts, Spellbinders™ Tags Five, Spellbinders™ Floral Accents, Pearls, button, lots of glue dots

Smooches!!  I’ll see you soon!!

What a wonderful idea. Gives it soft corners instead of just a scored piece of paper. Lovely! Bet it is a chore to even get this card in an envelope to hand deliver!ReplyCancel

The nested hearts is my favorite also. I love how you used them here. I also love the colors. Not sure I follow your scoring thou. Maybe a tutorial when and if you have the time? Love it. I have often wondered how you were able to send all the lovely layered cards that you make. Thanks for the explaination. Most of the cards I make have to be mailed, so I will just have to figure another way to send them cause I love layers. Just in case you haven’t heard it enough, glad you are back. Curious what you thought of the Cricut Imagine? Also curious what you thought of Spellbinders Grand Dies and the new Calibur. I know the size is bigger then what you normally use but just wondered if you thought you might like to explore larger projects?
