Who Doesn’t Love Birthdays!?!

I have a birthday card to share with you.  I wanted to use my Copics so I hunted through my stash for something to color.

Isn’t this the cutest mouse?  I had the perfect whimisical DP so once I decided on that, all my other choices were pretty much made and I could sit down to color the mouse.  I masked him and the balloons then Copic Airbrushed in the sky and land.  Wow, I have a lot of practicing to do with that tool, but it was fun to add the background.  Once done, I used the oval and square Nestability popped up to frame the little guy.  My last step was to add a little texture with my new Martha Stewart ZigZag punch and added ribbon – of course (smiles).

Supplies:
Stamps:  The Angel Company – Mouse; Heidi Grace – Sentiment
Ink:  Black Brilliance; Versamark
Paper:  Bazzill, DP – from my stash
Accessories:  Brads, Nestabilities, Michaels Ribbon; Copics

Hi Nancy, don’tcha just love those acronymns? DP stands for Design Paper!
Copics are alcohol based art markers. The beauty of them is they don’t streak like waterbased markers, they blend together beautifully, they are permanent, there are more than 300 colors and they don’t dry out, nor do you have to worry about standing them up. They are on the pricey side, but it’s just as easy to build a small set as it is to build a large set. Lastly, there is a gun-like attachment that you can seat the marker into that attaches to an air source which will allow you to use the markers like an airbrush.ReplyCancel

Soooo Cute!! This mouse is adorable. Love the paper and the layout you chose. And as for your airbrushing, it looks great to me. Mine is still in the package. Why are we frightened when we get something we just had to have? Love your card.ReplyCancel
