Little Boys

WRBF-3669-2012
Sweet blog friends, yesterday I made a birthday card for little girls and so wanted to make a matching one for little boys.  I rarely make masculine cards because I love to use my pearls and lace and bows :-)  As of late, my answer to that dilemma is to just go with the flow, and be me – pearls, and bows and all.  So I’m ready in case any of the little fellas I know have a birthday.  I suspect that someone that age is just thrilled to get a card and doesn’t think what’s on it long enough to object, right?  This month Our Daily Bread Designs  came up with two sets, one for Little Girs, this one is called Little Boys.

WRBF-3668-2012
For this card, I reached out to use one the new Spellbinders™ On The Edge to put the tiny border around the edge of my top layer.  I then used the middle element from Spellbinders™ Enchanted Labels to stamp the little boy and the sentiment.  Lastly I put flourishes in the two leftmost corners from Spellbinders™ Marvelous Squares.  Yep, I finished off with pearls and a bow ;-)

Another gorgeous card here Becca. I love these silouet stamps here, they really looks great and sooo pretty. I´ve seen on many blogs out there, that they seems to be pretty in for the moment from all compagnies, and I admit, I really like the look of these all black silouettes on the colored backgrouns and I have seen some really awesome ones, and I certainly love both this and the last one you shared yesterday for the girls too. Awesome work here again hun.ReplyCancel

I truly agree it is always great to have a “stash” of cards on hand, however I never to seem to get ahead except I keep quite a few of my signature Sympathy cards as I always feel you need to get them out in a timely manner. However, I tend to do my birthday ones specific to the person. I have to keep my birthday book up to date.
Love this card along with the Little Girl one you did the other day. I don’t do a lot of stamping but love the silhoutte of the kids. I use a Cricut cartridge for my silhouttes.
Hope you have a delightful, crafty day.
    God Bless.

Hey Becca. I make mini albums from coffee sleeves
and was wondering if you could design a die cut to
Use to cut out the paper. Right now I trace around
them but would be so much easier with a die cut. Also
mini tags for them would be great. Thank you. I’m
sure they would be something other crafters would
    love to have.

    Sincerely
    Debbie. CarneyReplyCancel

Hey, it’s great! I have 5 grandsons, from very young to college-age, and believe it or not, they look forward to one of grandma’s homemade cards, as do their parents, too. Boy cards are much harder so I’m always scouting for ideas. Love the image on this one.ReplyCancel

Hi Becca, As always your card is amazing. I just love it. thanks for sharing with all of us
I only have one regret, that your card club is so expensive for most of us. I would love to join, but it’s just too much. Perhaps you could have smaller club also, for about half the price? Just saying. I think you would have more members that could afford it.

I do enjoy your beautiful cards and that you share this with us.

Bless you for all you do.

    Hi Becca,

I would love to hear more about the beautiful pins you add to your cards.
Do you make them yourself or purchase them somewhere and if you purchase them, can you please tell me where. But I would love to learn
how to make them. They are such an elegant element.

    ThanksReplyCancel
