Let’s Have Tea

This is a fun set that I’ve had for quite a while that I’ve been dying to get inky!  What clicked was this paper I recently purchased that reminds me somewhat of the blue and white china pieces similar to Wedgewood that I collect..  After looking at the pattern on the paper, I thought a-ha this would make a great “tea” card.  I ran through quite a few of my ink pads to find a shade of blue that would work, but I’m happy :-)

I used two different Waltzingmouse Stamps sets on my card.  Designed to match Spellbinders Labels Eighteen, I cut embossed a matching stamped image from Very Vintage Labels No. 18 and included a trimmed version of the teapots from the Afternoon Tea set.  I simply stacked the two images and mounted them at the top the card.   In love with those stamps!!  To construct the card I simply cut a tall panel 4.5″ x 8″ and mounted a cross panel embellished with strips of gold and bordered with the double arches border punch.

Well, that’s it for me today!!  This was pretty easy to accomplish and I just love the tall format cards – I wish I made them more often :-)

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: Waltzingmouse Stamps – Very Vintage Labels No. 18, Afternoon Tea
Paper: Die Cuts with a View, Gold Foil
Ink: Ancient Page – Lapis
AccessoriesSpellbinders Labels Eighteen, Martha Stewart Border Punch, Jolees Lace Flower,  Ribbon, Pearls

Thanks for stopping by friends!!  Working on more things – and having fun, I’ll be back soon!

This card is so beautiful! My mother collected Blue Willow and seeing the blue and white has me sitting back in the big country kitchen with her, smelling fresh baked molasses cookies and having a cup of tea in those special cups and saucers. You must have sweet memories as well with your beautiful Wedgewood china.
Thanks for sharing this beautiful card today! :)ReplyCancel

Hi Becca! It reminds me of Blue Willow too. So pretty, so crisp and clean. It has your “look”. I would know it anywhere. You know how some brands are just known for their excellence, like Wedgewood, Lenox, Rolex, Rolls Royce, etc , I’m sure some come to your mind, well I think someday we’ll say ” O that’s a “Becca”. ; ) You’re already known by so many, but I think that God will open doors for you, because you glorify His name and you are serving Him in your generation. I would love to own a “Feeken” : ) Take care Becca. Iris, Saved by GraceReplyCancel

This takes me back to when I was a little girl. I received a tiny tea set of Blue Willow pattern dishes, and that’s exactly what this looks like. I still have one of the little cups. I would get Mom to put some coffee in one of the little cups, and then I would spit it out. I still hate coffee, and have never learned to like it. I have other vices though, so don’t feel sorry for me!ReplyCancel
