Keep My Lamp Burning

Today’s card is from one of the newly released February sets at Our Daily Bread DesignsKeep My Lamp Burning.  I love the lighthouse and the fact that the set comes with four different sentiments makes it so versatile.  The inspiration for the card came from this design paper in my stash – it looks like a turbulent sea with waves crashing about.  Since the sky on the paper looked so brilliant, I decided to stamp the lighthouse on acetate so that you can see through to the sky on the design paper.  The rest of the card I kept very simple because I wanted the design paper to show through.

I framed the acetate with Spellbinders Classic Frame then stamped directly on the design paper with Black Stazon.  I popped the frame up over the sentiment to give the card a little depth.  Ribbon, brads and a Cuttlebug corner make it a wrap!

Card Recipe:

Paper:  Paperhouse Productions, Bazzill, 140lb Strathmore watercolor paper

    Dear Becca,
I love the new stamps from Our Daily Bread, especially the lighthouse. After viewing this card, I will definitely buy it. You not only light up the lighthouse, but you light up the life of an 86 year old lady, who is having such JOY, making cards at this late date in her life. Thanks, MurielReplyCancel
