Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using Quietfire Design Always Kiss Me Goodnight and 2014 Spellbinders A2 Divine Eloquence
Hi there blog friends! I realized that in the new months of 2014 as we approach Valentines Day, I don’t think I have made more than one Valentines Card.  So, just before the big day I thought I would whip up a quick one.  My card today is an easy filigree card with a simple sentiment from Quietfire Design titled Always Kiss Me Goodnight. It need not be reserved for just Valentines Day, but for any day for your sweetie. I started out with a hinged filigree card base —>see my tutorial HERE, using Spellbinders Timeless Rectangles.  I layered (edited to add: I originally mislabeled this A2 Divine Eloquence, yikes, it is:…)  Spellbinders A2 Tranquil Moments on top and added my sentiment in the opening using Spellbinders Floral Ovals popped up on dimensional tape.

    Hi Becca,

This card is beautiful (as usual)! You seem to be using different
embellishments (like the large pearl. They add more beauty to
the card. I’ll have to look up and see where I can get some of these
to add to my stash. I remember you using a clear box to mail a card,
but can you tell us what else you have used to mail the bulkier cards?
    ThanksReplyCancel

Love this, Mz. B!! But, where is the flourish from that sits under the sentiment? It is not part of the set? Please? I would love to have that as it could go with anything!
    Live your dreams, Becca!

Becca, Amazingly Papery Gracefulness, as always. I want to CASE this card, however, I can’t understand how you got the look of the beautiful cut out portion in which the oval sits. When I search Divine Eloquence to order it, it’s center isn’t as curvaceous as your cut out. How would we get that beautiful cut out?ReplyCancel

Stunning, stunning, stunning, I don’t quite understand how the centre piece seems to be just floating in mid air though. I have learned so much from such a generous teacher already, would it be greedy of me to ask you for more tuition on how the heck you did this.

I just adore your filigree cards. I’ve tried this myself but mine don’t work out so good, I think maybe my card stock is too thick ‘cos I have trouble getting it to cut through the folded bit. Love the sentiment- who wouldn’t.
