I Am The Way

Today I’m excited to share a peek at a new release from Our Daily Bread Designs.  The name of this set is I Am The Way and I’m happy to hint that it is an Easter Set!!  I Am the Way is scheduled to be released on Sunday, February 1st.  Stay tuned and visit the rest of the Our Daily Bread Design Team to see additional peeks.

I pulled my very favorite papers for this sample, so if you feel like you’ve seen them before . . . you have!  The base is cream colored cardstock that I’ve layered with a metallic gold and dotted gold paper. On the main panel I’ve cut two frames with the Spellbinders Labels Four Die and crisscrossed them for an interesting squared center frame.  I stamped the sentiment on my ribbon and pulled it through the square in the frame;  the frames are then embellished with small pearls.  Finally the card is topped off with a bow and button.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs; I Am The Way
Paper:  The Paper Company; Blonde Columns, Dotted Gold, Gold Foil
Ink:  Black Brilliance
Accessories:  Spellbinders Labels Four Die, Ribbon, Pearls, JBH Vintage Button

I’m working on a quick tutorial to show you how I made the filigree flower medallion yesterday.  It should be ready soon, so be sure to check back

Beautiful, as always. Your blog is one of the few I visit several times a week. In addition to having a wonderful creative eye, you manage to make these gorgeous designs with products, tools and supplies that are readily available to the average crafter. I think it spurs creativity in people when they look at one of your designs and think “I have those embossing folders/border punches/stamps/dies. I could do this.” You provide so much inspiration. Thank you.ReplyCancel

  • BarbJanuary 25, 2009 - 8:39 am

This is such a beautiful, beautiful card. The sentiment stamped on the ribbon reminds me of how you often see the cross in churches drapped in satin as a reminder that Christ is no longer in the tomb but that He is risen. I love the papers you used, the white ribbon and the gold. What perfect colors you chose for an Easter card and the perfect scripture as well. White represents a number of things- the purity of Jesus, forgiveness of our sins as in being washed white as snow, and the gold representing the glory of God. Pearls in a work always make me think of the story in the bible of the merchant who sold all for that one priceless pearl… and to think that Jesus gave His all for us because He considered us to be as priceless pearls. Just an awesome, awesome piece of art Becca. I also love what you did with the frame- gorgeous!
