Hold on to The Spirit of Christmas

If you are curious what happened to me yesterday, click HERE.  If you are looking for the ODBD Blog Hop Contest post, click HERE

Good Morning friends!  Today I’m sharing a new release from Quietfire Design – just in time for Christmas (*wink*).   Suzanne has put together an incredible collection of Quietfire Christmas Designs for 2009 and they’re special enough to command the front of a card but look just as stunning on the inside of the card.  For this card I’m using a new sentiment called Hold on to the Spirit of Christmas – it’s just dazzling.  This beauty is hand penned personally by Suzanne Cannon (you know that just amazes me)!

For the card I created a medallion using Spellbinders Petite Ovals Small, Spellbinders Petite Ovals Large and Spellbinders Petite Scalloped Ovals Large.  This medallion is nestled on top of Spellbinders Scalloped Edge Frame which is a lovely frame.  It was pure serendipity to see the result of lacing the frame with 1/4" ribbon.  The only matching ribbon I had was the large ribbon so I tied a bow on the side.  All my layers are smudged with Antique Linen Distress Ink.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Quietfire Design – Hold on to the Spirit of Christmas
Paper:  Cosmo Cricket – Wonderland, The Paper Company – Cream White
Ink:  Versafine Sepia, Antique Linen Distress Ink
Accessories:  Spellbinders Petite Ovals Small, Spellbinders Petite Ovals Large and Spellbinders Petite Scalloped Ovals Large, Spellbinders Scalloped Edge Frame, Ribbon, Pearls

I hope you are well into a glorious week!

I am so pleased that we did not lose you, my friends and I would go nuts if you were not around. We so love all of your work and you are daily inspiration. (After God that is). thank you for sharing all the talent God has given you with all of us we certainly appreciate it. Our husbands are not to fond of you, we keep spending more and the stamps, ribbon, markers and such are beginning to take over. We do pray that the companies you work for understand how much influence you have and show you that in some tangible way. For now we are happy to see you again.ReplyCancel

Becca, Becca, Becca – – – thank goodness you are back again!! I was so worried. I am selfish enough to admit I get so very much of my inspiration from you. I absolutely love the elegance and work you put into your creations and it just pushes me that much more to try and be better and be more creative. I used to be a copy cat but since my “meeting” you, I think I am learning to go my way also. Thank you ever so much for all you do and all your inspiration. God, indeed, did bless you.ReplyCancel

    Becca,

Oh my gosh, this card is so pretty that I was wishing I could reach up to my computer monitor and pick it right off the screen to keep. I love how you weaved the ribbon in with the punched border.

So sorry you had blog site problems the other day. I wondered what was going on, but then figured it was just a problem that you would have taken care of in a day or two. How frustrated you must have been.

Well, I am off to look at your next creation, I’m a little behind on my blog browsing again (dog gone house work gets in the way)

    Hugs,

    Lisa AthaReplyCancel
