Heaven is a Garden

There is a first time for everything, and for me, this time…it was the first time I’ve ever made a sympathy card.  The mother of a dear friend passed away a little bit over a week ago on April 15th.  I sat down the very next evening to make this card, but didn’t want to post it until I had given it to her, which I did tonight.

I hope my friend doesn’t mind my posting the card…my heart was so touched when talking to her during this sorrowful time, that I just wanted to share.  There is barely an hour that has gone by since last week that I didn’t think of her and her family.  Their hearts were aching yet they embraced the pending departure of their loved one with great faith, optimism and love.  My friend is such an inspiration to me.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Sentiment – PSX, Background – Hampton Arts; Bird Stamp – Inkadinkado
Paper:  Canvas Paper; Bazzill
Inks, Antique Linen, SU Purely Pomegranate
Accessories:  Prima Flowers, Offray Ribbon, Lasting Impression Brads

This is one of the loveliest condolence cards I have ever seen. The “free spirit” sentiment with the bird image is what does it for me. Beautiful work!ReplyCancel
