Happy Easter

I hope that you and your families are spending time together and celebrating the reasons that make today this holy day so important.  I have a full day with family and church but set up a post for Easter Day with a little card to share.  It’s sweet little Tilda sitting on top of an Easter basket.  Every month one of the designers with Magnolia-licious issues a challenge and this month our challenge was a sketch you can see HERE.  I flipped the sketch over so that I would have a valance on top from which to hang #441 Flower Basket.  The basket is large enough that I could seat #3049 Tilda with Flower in Her Hair.  I’ll give you a little hint though – Tilda’s head would have hidden that beautiful bow on the basket so I clipped it and moved it up.  Instead of fussing with cutting out the flowers on the stamp I simply cut them off and layered on my own flowers.   For the valance I used an EK Success Border Punch and for the tag I used Spellbinders™ Tags Five

The sketch challenge is open until the end of the month and I hope you’ll play along – you can see the other Design Team Cards on the Magnolia-licious Highlights Blog as well as details for the monthly challenge.

Well, all I can say is ……
“Count me into the Becca fan club”!! I just now ran across you and I truly have to say I fell like I’ve hit the “Bonanza Gold”…..here in California…… Again!! You just blow me away with your talent Miss Becca!! I thank the good Lord for giving you not only the talent but, the desire to “share” with the rest of us who truly need your inspiration. I am new to card making though I have done considerable scrapbooking in the past. Now I find I want all those nifty tools you use to get your results. I feel like a kid in a candy store Becca…….I want one of these and one of those etc. etc.!! :) So much fun! Your card making is on my mind a lot I guess cause as I drove to work yesterday I saw a sign over an antique shop and immediately said to myself……..”I know that shape, Becca used it on a card I saw yesterday”. Yes, I’ve got it bad I’m afraid……… Anyway….a BIG Thank You for all your help, and as I sit often alone at work in an old historic haunted hotel in the California mountains at night……..I have your beautiful art work to keep me inspired and excited to get home and try some of them out!

How cute Becca. Now I have to admit, I’m a little slow. When I first saw the bow above her head, I thought oh my, she’s just hanging there. Then I looked a little closer and realized she’s sitting on the basket. What a great idea. Your creativity and imagination continue to amaze me. Happy Belated Easter to you.ReplyCancel
