Happy Birthday Sweetheart!

Happy Birthday, Baby!!

I do have a card to share today but first I wanted to wish my sweet and crazy husband a happy birthday!!  He is truly a miracle and for every birthday he shares, I feel like I’m the one getting the gift.   He is the love of my life and for the last 28 years, I’ve known that I was a lucky, lucky woman!  I snapped this picture a couple of months ago when we were in San Antonio.  Lol, he’ll be a little shocked today to see his picture on the blog – from time to time he helps me out  behind the scenes and when he wants to make me smile he calls himself Mr. Becca.  (That’s a joke – he’s a funny, funny guy).  So many of you have prayed for him and we both thank you.  In the meantime, we’re holding up the celebration for just a minute, long enough for me to get a blog post up and then back to the festivities.

On to my card for the day – I made this a couple of days ago, and contemplated rearranging things but decided to just go with it.   The card is made up of eight squares that I stacked then interlocked –
Spellbinders™ Classic Squares LG and Spellbinders™ Classic Squares SM.  The more I look at it Escher comes to mind.  I didn’t want to cover up the squares so I stamped directly on them and I really debated the ribbon, but it needed something more than just the geometrics.   I simply love, love, love the Spellbinders™ Cross Collection – it’s has so many uses including the obvious so I tucked each cross under the edge of my square for a look that I really like.  The sweet little flower in the center is from Spellbinders™ Flourish Accents set.

This goes off in the mail tomorrow for my mother, whose birthday is in a week.  I used one of the new Our Daily Bread Designs sets that cover "Mother Occasions".  Happy Birthday is stamped on the inside but this verse from the Mom set says it all!!

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs – Mom
Paper:  The Paper Company – Cream White, Solar White, K & Co.
Ink:  Versafine Black Onyx
Accessories:  Spellbinders Classic Squares LG, Spellbinders Classic Squares SM, Spellbinders Cross Collection, Spellbinders Flourish Accents, Pearls, Ribbon

You all bless me every day!  I don’t take it for granted that you stop by – thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I say this in a positive way, Becca. Every day is a gift from God and we need not spend it worrying. Our time on earth will end when God says so and NO ONE can change that! O praise God!!! Wishing You “Many Happy Returns of the Day” Mr Feeken … I do hope you’re thoroughly enjoying your special Birthday celebrations.

Your Mother’s birthday card is absolutely beautiful, Becca … your artistry and inventiveness have resulted in a creation which is a joy to behold, as always!

I adore the portrait of your husband … it has a very special aura which I couldn’t begin to define, and it’s beautiful. I’m so glad that he’s feeling much better having been through such a tough time … and he’s a very hunky hubby … lucky girl!!

    Becca,
As always, your creations are simply elegant and blessed. It is so humble and wonderful of you to wish your husband a Happy Birthday on your blog. Both of you are lucky to have each other. May the Lord continue to bless you and yours. Thank you for sharing your inspiration. Here is a birthday prayer I’ve written for my bookmarks:

    1 John 4:7
    Loving One Another
Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God.

    Dear and Precious Lord,
I ask that You pour out Your blessings upon my dear husband and surround him with Your Holy Spirit, on this special day of his birth. Hold him close, Lord, so that he may continue to bless those who cross his path. Guide him, Lord, so that his feet may continue to walk in Your Light, for You are the greatest gift that he can receive.
    In Your Holy Name.
    Amen

    Hi Becca,

Firstly happy birthday to Mr Becca, I hope he had a lovely day. That is a really nice photo and you have such kind eyes Mr Becca. I truly believe that the eyes are the window to the soul :)

All of your cards are gorgeous Becca and this one is too. I wish I could have easier access to the Nestabilities, but I’m sure my wallet is glad I don’t LOL. What a great way to use those dies and lets face it…it wouldn’t be a Becca card without the ribbon!ReplyCancel

Absolutely love your card! Stamping right on the squares was good. I really love the way you used the crosses behind the squares, it’s very pretty! By the way, I have prayed for your family and specifically your husband, too. Glad to know you’re celebrating another birthday with him, praise God!! What a cute couple you are (you’re pictures next to each other at the top).ReplyCancel
