Friends

Hello there chickadees!!  I got busy today but do have a card to share.   First though, let me mention that the "Tell me ‘Bout the Good Ole Days" Blog Candy goes until Friday evening.  You have an opportunity every day, to leave a comment on my post on April 25th.  Plus, take it from me, when you see the other comments, it’s good reading.   My family was gather around the computer the other night listening to some of the comments – ah the memories.

So on to my card for today.  This sweet little magnolia stamp is just how I feel today; pickin’ flowers and hanging out.  I colored her with Copic Markers (she colors up very quickly I might add) and pulled the rest of the card together.  Lol, this is my version of CAS – Clean and Simple.   Diana at Magnolia-licious sent this sweet creature called #3045 Tilda with Spring Bundle from the Hoppy Easter/Spring Bundle.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Magnolia-licious – #3045 Tilda with Spring Bundle
Paper:  My Minds Eye, The Paper Company – Blonde Columns
Ink:  Memento – Tuxedo Black
Accessories:  Copic Markers, Pearls, Prima Flower, Button, BossKut Flourish, Ribbon, Lasting Impressions Rub-on

Take care all!!

    Becca,

Do you have a trick technique for tying such beautiful bows? I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE ribbon and use lots in tying bows. Mine never look as pretty as yours. If you have any tips on using ribbon and tying bows I would love to hear about it.

I’m so glad I am a follower of your blog because I really enjoy your art work. You are so creative. Thanks for any help you can give me with ribbon and bows.

oh what a sweetie she is. There was an ice cream store about 4 or 5 blocks from our house that had the BEST ice cream in town. And they had air conditioning in the store! We didn’t have it in our homes back then so our parents would walk us to get an ice cream cone and sit in the air conditioned comfort before walking back home.ReplyCancel

    Hi Becca –
Your cards are always so great! I guess my grandma was ahead of the times, because she loved to do crafts and recycle 50++ years ago! I remember as a little girl, she taught us how to make wall picture plaques out of plaster of paris. We’d take a metal pie tin with fluted edges, lay a card (we’d gotten in the mail) face down on the bottom and pour the liquid plaster over the card, attaching a wire to hang it. We’d wait for it to dry, pop it out of the tin, and hang our cute little plaque on the wall for all to admire! I hadn’t thought of this in years — thanks for sparking the memory!ReplyCancel

I had a conversation with my 8 year old grandson last nite and we were sharing “good ole days”. When he was a baby he would sit on my lap at breakfast. My first thing in the morning is to have a cup of coffee and dip “nutter butter” cookies in my coffee. Of course, grandma had to share with grandson. I reminded him of that last nite and he responded with “I remember those wonderful times grandma”. They sure know how to melt your heart.ReplyCancel
