Flutter By Butterfly

Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken Using JustRite Secret Whisper and Spellbinders Majestic Labels Eight and Spellbinders Labels Thirty Six
Hi there blog friends!  I wanted to share a quick card I made this morning with a sweet sentiment.  I love butterflies and have quite a few butterfly dies so this was a fabulous excuse to break them out to use on a card.  The large sentiment is one of the new singles by JustRite Papercraft and it is called Whisper Secrets.  I started out with a hinged card using Spellbinders Majestic Labels Eight and I layered Spellbinders Labels Thirty Six on top.  The final embellishment is a little bow and a little filigree butterfly from Spellbinders Les Papillions.

Becca, your card is so beautiful and the colors may be hope spring is coming to this very wet Florida day. How did you get the very thin line of color around the sentiment label 36 die? It adds just the perfect touchReplyCancel

  • Dottie DavisJanuary 31, 2014 - 2:02 pm

I love the soft delicate shapely look of this card. But I, too, am wondering how you got the very thin line of color cardstock around the die. I’ve tried cutting it freehand but it never looks the same as what a die can do. You must cut really well to make this look so perfect! Looking forward to the SB Sunday tutorial…I will be watching the game with DH only because his buddies can’t come over! But, I will check it out later!ReplyCancel

    Becca, Dear sweet Becca,
Oh my goodness! Your hinged cards are over the top, girl! I have to take some time and watch your tutorial so I can try it. Know it is not that difficult but just need to watch it one more time. The greeting is just wonderful and love the color and the butterfly. I will watch your tutorial on Sunday – no Super Bowl for me. I’ll craft instead. Thanks for the inspiration.

    Becca,
Your style has inspired me. God has truly given you a gift. Thank you for sharing. The butterfly card is beautiful. Several weeks ago I bought ‘Heirloom Flourish One Die” .When I put the 2 points together, so it goes up and down instead of side to side, it created a butterfly affect. Let me know if you’d like to see a picture of it. I did not see a way to attach it here.
    God Bless,
    Dee
