Count Your Blessings

Thoughts remain with our friends and family who were impacted by the hurricane and the storms. The devastation is heartbreaking, but please know this too shall pass. Just want to let you know we’re all thinking of you.  It inspired a card which I think this is more of a reminder for me than something to send out.  I reached for one of the embossing folders – Spellbinders™ Ornamental Iron; once embossed I swiped across the top with a Colorbox White Pigment ink pad – I really liked the subtle look that give while bumping up the look of the embossing.  I crafted a cross piece using Spellbinders™ Floral Doily Accents and finished off with another Die D-Lite – Spellbinders™ Frame One.

I say this often, but I’ll say it again – I love using embossing folders!!   I should probably use them more often.  I spend way to much time trying to find just the right piece of design paper and when you use an embossing folder, it’s so easy to customize and save the time lost hunting the right paper :-)

Becca, such a rich, elegant creation. The colors are true Autumn colors here in Florida where we go from green to brown/tan in a few days. As you mentioned in your post, “this, too, shall pass”. I say that during hardship all the time. Do you have a video or tutorial for how to create this remarkable bow?ReplyCancel

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!! I love the silver and white. What an elegant card. It just stands out from all the rest. I truly love it. I am not saying your other cards are not beautiful, they are, but I cannot say enough about the silver and white ornament card. And you are saying it was simple. There is nothing about that card that is simple. Elegant for sure. Thanks for sharing your beautiful cards. Hugs, LindaReplyCancel

I love the card that you made using the embossing folder. I have hundreds of things to make cards but I think the embossing folders and the brass embossing plates are still my most favorite of all.

All the cards that you make are so beautiful and I want to thank you for taking the time to share them with us. Juanita B.ReplyCancel
