Hope Clothespin and Clipboard Alterables

I have a quick post  this evening – I hope you’re already having a wonderful weekend!!   I {heart} these little clipboards and  standing clothes pins.  When Our Daily Bread Designs released their three new sets of stamps and introduced the Hope Pack, I knew that I wanted to cover these alterables with the pink survivor paper.   The pair is designed to match with this project that I made earlier — Here

I simply painted all the wood with a coat or two of gesso then glued the paper down to the wood and sanded up the edges so that they were even.  A quick addition of some embellishments, and I was done.  All in all, it was a quick project.

Supplies:
Stamp:  Our Daily Bread Designs
Paper:  Available through Our Daily Bread Designs
Ink:  Colorbox Chalk Ink – Rouge
Accessories:  White Gesso, White Glue, Foam Brush, Sand Paper, Ribbon, Prima Flowers, Pearl Brad, Mini Clipboard and Clothespin – AC Moore

Just a note, I spent quite a bit of time today tidying up the behind the scenes part of my blog.  I’m a little bit better at it now than I was six months ago when I got started.  I now have a system of storing pictures on my server – initially they were everywhere.  So, if you encounter a red x, just hit refresh and your browser will pick up the new location.  I’ve tested everything out and shouldn’t have any orphans, but I sure moved a lot of stuff around in the back while organizing.  Whew, now if I could just manage to do that with my crafts!  I’m hoping to get some crafting done this weekend – I have my eye on trying out a couple of cool sketches that are floating around right now.   Okay, off to do a little more blog tweaking…finally.

Hi Becca! I want to know how you get that paper so neatly around the clip on the clipboard. I have several of these and every time I think of doing one I get stuck on that issue. Thanks so much!

    Hi Becca,

Love this!! Have you heard of Chemo angels? It is a wonderful organization that pairs chemo patients with people that send them cards etc.every week. I am currently paired up with a wonderful lady in MO and I was just thinking that I need to try and make a pink ribbon card for her. I have been busy setting up a blog please check it out

my cards aren’t anywhere in the same league as yours but I’m making so many at once for my fundraiser that I can’t spend hours on each one. Please share my site with anyone you wish.

Oh Becca – this is so nice. I have a friend who lost both breasts years ago to cancer, and now she’s suffering with bone cancer. I need to get some of that paper. I’ve got a couple of friends who are chemo angels & I’m sure that they’d love it!
Thanks always for the inspiration that you share.
    Hugs,
