A Walk Through on my Chair

So many people asked me to show the step by step pictures I took when I was making THIS chair. You’re probably wondering why I took the pictures. Well, I’ve learned that it’s better to go ahead and do it on a one shot deal like this and toss them out if you decide not to use them. Step by steps take a long time, but this is one I didn’t think I’d be sharing. Thank you so much for asking. I think I bought this chair at Big Lots or TJ Maxx . . . from time to time I see others like it – this one just happened to be unfinished. I’ll take you on a quick tour through how I put it together and I hope it will spur some ideas on other altered things you might make. (P.S. The paper I used is an older paper from K&Co – it’s possibly my favorite and my stash has gotten dangerously low ;-).

That’s all folks!!  Thanks for stopping by!!

Wow – now I have a completely different perspective of the the Chair Note Pad. I love the uniqueness of this project. Very very cool, indeed. I won’t be donating those cute items I’ve had stored around for ages now. You have inspired me to alter what I have instead of buying “new”. Thanks for sharing the process on”how to”.ReplyCancel

Good evening, Becca; thank you so much for the tutorial on your little chair project- as usual it is very easy to follow. I would love to try it when we eventually are able to buy the new nestabilities in UK. I do have one question, however. The scalloped octagons on the rolodex pages are green, yet the scalloped octagons in the box are in floral paper/card. Are the green scalloped octagons backed with floral scallops or are these for a different purpose?ReplyCancel

  • MrsHMarch 4, 2009 - 4:17 pm

Scrub that question, Becca. Silly me has decided to have a look at the original project and I have seen that the scallops in the tin are actually notelets.ReplyCancel

Thanks for the tutorial Becca. I’ll be keeping an eye out everywhere I go, including garage sales, for one of these darling chairs. You completely fooled me with the size. I had imagined much larger. Thanks again for the details. Linda S. in NEReplyCancel
