Here’s a card that I made to go with the CPS Sketch 107 that is being sponsored by Our Daily Bread Design.  See, I told you that I was stuck on pink and green with the K & Co. Madeline Paper *wink*.  Actually I made all the pink and green cards at one sitting.  Isn’t that a lovely sketch?  Again I have used the a scripture from the new Scripture Collection with Our Daily Bread Designs – and this is the scripture that I selected to contribute to the set.  If you missed it, yesterday there was a Blog Hop with each of the scriptures and each Design Team member with ODBD posted a magnificent card showcasing the new stamps.

Again a simple card . . it was serendipitous that the scripture fit perfectly inside my Spellbinders Nested Butterfly, so I made it the focal point of the card.  I then used Spellbinders Doodle Parts to add antenna to the butterfly and cut the bottom border with my Spellbinders Victorian Pierceabilities.

Card Recipe:
S
tamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs – Scripture Collection
Paper:  Bazzill, The Paper Company – Blonde Columns, K & Co. – Madeline
Ink:  Black Brilliance
Accessories:  Spellbinders Nested Butterflies, Ribbon, Spellbinders Victorian Pierceabilities, Spellbinders Doodle  Parts, Pearls, Fiskars Apron Lace Border Punch

This morning is your last opportunity to leave a comment HERE for our Daily Bread Designs Blog Candy!!  I’ll be picking a winner through Random.org this afternoon some time  – I’ll edit this post with all the information.  Be sure to get your comment in for this lovely stamp set!

Dear Becca the reason I love your cards is because If I have at least some of the spellbinders and paper I can use your examples to make something beautiful at least most of the times. I am not an artist and have very little creativity left in my foggy brain because I have fibromyalgia. I try to make simple uncomplicated items but yours are so beautiful that I enjoy the challenge. I haven’t made to many cards yet because I spend a lot of time just looking and buying!! thanks again for you God given inspiration and the ministry your have to your friends and bloggers!!!ReplyCancel

It’s a Celebration!!   Yes, you may be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, but I am also celebrating the One-year Anniversary at Our Daily Bread designs!  It was one year ago today that owner Kelley Holland began her adventure.  What a fun adventure it has been and look where we are a year later! Great products and inspirational stamps!

Thanks for stopping in on your way through our first Blog Hop.  If you didn’t know about our Blog Hop and landed here by chance, there are goodies for you along the way and it’s important to hit the blogs in the order of the Hop.  If you are just starting the hop the place to pick up your first clue and the place you will want to start out with is Dina at Mama Dina’s Stamperia.  If you started in the right place and you made it here from Judy Rozema’s Blog – Joy in a JAR then you are in the right place!   There is blog candy along the way and even I don’t know where it is, so be sure to start at the beginning of the Hop so you don’t miss it!

For a special grand prize, we are playing “Scripture Scramble!”  Each blog has one or two words that you can collect at each stop and put together to make a scripture verse (NIV edition).  Once you have collected all the words, send the verse in the correct order, along with the scripture reference by EMAIL to our DT Coordinator, Judy Rozema, at lidaroseroz@gmail.com.  Correct entries will be put into a hat and the Grand Prize winner will receive a set of their choosing from Our Daily Bread designs AND a selection of cards made especially for this celebration by some of the Design Team members.  How cool is that?!  Entries must be received by MIDNIGHT CST on March 19th.

Here is my Scripture Scramble word:  riches

Speaking of scriptures, today is the release of two new scripture sets: Scripture Collection 1 and Scripture Collection 2.  Each of the Design Team members chose a verse that is special to them and Kelley made it into special anniversary sets that are available for purchase today!

That brings me to the card I want to share with you today.  It features the scripture that I contributed to the Scripture Collection set.  They are all wonderful but this particular one reminds me how we are saved by God’s glorious grace.  This scripture as well as all the others will take me through all the occasions I can think of throughout the year.

I am quite on the pink and green kick lately.  Alas, I am smitten with the latest K&Co paper, you’ll see!  This card is very simple.  I used two papers from the Madeline collection and broke up the scripture onto two Spellbinders Tags.   I am also sooooo addicted to the new Fiskars Apron Lace Punch – it has quite a feminine feel.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs –
Scripture Collection
Paper:  Bazzill – Capers, K&Co – Madeline, 140lb Strathmore Watercolor paper
Ink:  Black Brilliance
Accessories:  Spellbinders Tags, Ribbon, Fiskars Apron Lace Border Punch, Recollections Pearls, Paper Studio Covered Brads

Now, to continue on, next you’ll be visiting Jane Wetzel at Anything But Plain Jane.  Wait until you see what she has to show you!  And for goodness sakes, have fun!!

I have to agree with you Becca on the pink and green color combo. So fresh and “Springy” looking. That K and Co. can really turn ’em out, can’t they. But you know what? Gorgeous papers without a beautiful artist working with them and turning them into beautiful creations, is still just paper, laying on the shelf!! Thanks for sharing. Linda S. in NEReplyCancel

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC7)!!!! This week Cindy Haffner is hosting. She is challenging us to use ribbon. You may think ribbon?  I use ribbon all the time.  Of course, you do!!!  We all do!!!  I mean there are just so many ribbons out there to choose from.  There are lace, organdies, ric rac, satin, twill, and grosgrain just to name a few.  Then, there are polka dotted, printed, and stitched patterns to be had.  And, if that is not enough, many of these come in different widths.  Like I said, there are just so many to choose from.   However, you may only use a certain type of ribbon all the time yet you hoard a boat load of others.  It is time to cut those ribbons that bind you, lol!!!  Try to venture from your normal comfort zone or try to use ribbon in a different way.   Do not fret, though.   If you are not feeling awfully adventurous, any card with some ribbon will do!!!!  We would love to see what you do either way!!!

On this card I combined a couple of the elements that I love – the beautiful stamp set,  the Spellbinders Flower, the wide ribbon, the vintage button, pearls and the Martha Stewart punch.  I’ve been holding this card to share with you when these new sets were released and I’m so happy that they are available now!!  This card was created for a class I recently taught and although it may seem like overkill, I purposely included as many of my favorite elements that are – well…me!

The wonderful flourish in the background is from a new Flourishes set called Ornamental Elements that is the epitome of the elegance and grace you’ve come to associate with Flourishes stamps.  The perfectly sweet sentiment hidden on the inside says "Happiness held is the seed  Happiness shared is the flower – it is another of the new Flourishes setscalled Sweet Peas.  The filigree flower was created by Spellbinders Floral Accents and the leaf is from Spellbinders Sunflower One

Here is the card recipe:
Stamps:
Flourishes Ornamental Elements, Flourishes Sweet Peas
Paper:  The Paper Company – Solar White, Bazzill Palo Verde, Bazzill Capers, Bazzill Bling – In the Pink, 140lb Strathmore Watercolor Paper
Ink:  Palette – Landscape
Accessories:  Spellbinders Sunflower One, Spellbinders Floral Accents, Martha Stewart Lattice Arch edger, Sheer Organdy Ribbon, Pearl, Silver Cord, Vintage Button

Stay tuned this week . . . I hope to be back later this week with a tutorial on how to make those corner perfectly using the Martha Stewart punch!!

Be sure to hop around and see what the other Friends of Flourishes have done on this Ribbon Challenge –

A little later on this morning I’ll share another post with you for the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog Hop.  You won’t want to miss it.  Also remember I currently have Blog Candy to offer until noon on Wednesday – be sure to leave your post HERE.

I need to apologize and make a correction. My post was so incorrect. I am sorry for calling everything the wrong names. The mind gets so confused when you get to be my age. :)
I was telling the truth when I said I have purchased so many products you use and I want to buy a lot of the others. I get them all confused. I called it the wrong spellbinder set and it is a flower, not a medallion. Sorry for mixing things up. Anyway, all your cards, no matter what you use and what you create are BEAUTIFUL.
