As you may recall, just last week I created and showed my first baby card.  Um . . .I think this is a habit now.  Seriously, my second baby card!  It’s a cool coincidence that of the newly released April sets for Our Daily Bread Designs, one would be a childrens/baby set.  This particular set is called Children of God.  Well, I had to shake loose a little bit and try something fun.   This paper is from a Marcella K set, including the giraffe!!  How cute is that grass?  Very, very fun and  I was definitely inspired by my friend Silke Ledlow and a card she made last week here.

Pop on over to Our Daily Bread Designs and have a look at the three sets and companion stamp just released yesterday.  Out of all the occasions covered in this release, you’re sure to find something you want need

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs – Children of God
Paper:  Marcella K, 140lb Strathmore Watercolor Paper
Ink:  SU More Mustard
Accessories:   Fiskars Border Punch, Ribbon, Buttons and Pearls

Thanks for stopping by!!

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC9)!   Dee Jackson is our challenge hostess this week. She is challenging us to Go Green!!!!  What does that mean?  Well, it means that you have to find something to redo, to reuse, so we can say we recycled!!!  I know you have many items that were created that did not quite make it on a card and you stashed it away for another time.  Also, there are all kinds of non-craft items in the home waiting to be reused for something crafty. So, the time is now!!!! Let us go green and recycle those items!!!! We can hardly wait to see what you do!!!!!

My card is simple – for a recycled item I used a dark kraft colored chipboard that came in some packing.  Otherwise I stamped out three of the urns from the
Flourishes Chairs for You stamp set.   I colored it up with Copics and added some rhinestones, then cut with Spellbinders Mega Curved Rectangles. The sentiment is from the Flourishes You are Invited Set.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Flourishes Chairs for You, Flourishes You are Invited
Paper:  Recycled Chipboard, The Paper Company – Blonde Columns, K & Co. Bazzo;;
Ink:  Black Momento
Accessories:  Spellbinders Mega Curved Rectangles, Bling, Ribbon

Don’t forget to check and see what the other Friends of Flourishes are doing for the challenge!

What another gorgeous card Becca. I am forever using bits n pieces from other things on my cards eg I always cut the ribbons that are used for hanging up my clothes and use them for bows. It’s great as they come in all different colours!! I also cut up any old birthday/christmas cards (needlesstosay- not hand made ones, they are all kept) and make them into toppers I look forward to hearing what others do.
Thanks once again for the time you take sharing with all of us.

  • ShariMarch 31, 2009 - 4:20 pm

    Becca,
You’ve inspired me to get more creative with “go green”. Sometimes in a hurry I throw things away and later think I could of used that. So, I am going to make a stash box for those crafty moments. I have so many Christmas cards I’ve kept with hopes to recycle one day. My mother used to recycle hers and make many different size balls for hanging, some round, some oblong, some the size of the glass Christmas balls that I hang on my tree every year. One day I will get to my cards and recycle somehow, some way. ha
Love your bow too they are always so pretty.ReplyCancel
