Blog Candy and With Love

Remember, this is your last day to register for the Our Daily Bread Blog Candy!!  For goodness sake, pop over HERE and sign yourself up! :-)

I know it’s a month and a half before Valentines Day, but I’m determined to be prepared!!  For my card today I’m using a very elegant  Penny Black stamp called Love is the Message – it’s just one of the nifty stash of Valentines Day stamps over at Stamper’s Dream.  The stamp is mostly solid – I love this – so no coloring today.  I actually stamped and clear embossed with black Versafine ink then stamped and clear embossed another image with Adirondack Fired Brick Red distress ink.  For the second image I cut it out and popped it up to give a little dimension.  Can you just imagine that stamp embossed with gold?

For the framing embellishment I used Spellbinders™ In Spades Pendant which I cut in half and used on each corner.  I also used the small companion pieces on the corners of my top stamped panel.  The loops from the edges of the die template are a mighty convenient place for some ribbon.  After a bow in the corner, I sprinkled with tiny pearls. For the sentiment I lopped off the end of a Spellbinders™ Double Ended Tag.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Penny Black – Love is the Message, Sentiment – Studio G
Paper:  Graphic 45, Bazzill, The Paper Company
Ink:  Versafrine Onyx Black, Fired Brick Red Distress Ink
Accessories:  Spellbinders™ In Spades Pendant, Spellbinders™ Double Ended Tag
, Ribbon, Pearls, Maya Road Pin, Clear Embossing Powder
Card Size – 6" x 6"

By the way, Stampers Dream is having a sweet New Years sale to include Prism Papers and JustRite Stamps – just sayin’ :-)

Big smooches y’all!

i love this card! but when i went to the website to check out the heart stamp and saw that it is 3 1/4″ x 4″ all by itself, i realized that your card is WAY larger than what i normally produce!
would it be possible for you to add the finished dimensions of your cards when you list the directions or “ingredients”? that would make it much easier for me to know if it is one i might reproduce myself.

Wow! I just stumbled upon your blog today and I have spent the past hour or so looking back through all your old posts … you have an amazing talent!

Someone in the cricut messageboards indicated that you had an innovative idea for the 2×2 embossing folders for the cuttlebug (the circular embossing). That idea blew my mind so I had to look at the rest of your blog … wow is all I can say! I am almost speechless by some of the amazing work you have done!

    What an inspiration you are!ReplyCancel
