Blessed Holiday

I have two posts today, so once you’re done, be sure to scroll down and see the project I created for Our Daily Bread Designs HERE).

Hi there!!  I’ve had this neat Bazzill Glaze paper in my stash for a month or two at the top of the stack for when I started doodling with holiday cards.  I chose it today because the texture is amazing and the colors so rich.  I thought it work perfectly with a concept I had for a JustRite Stampers card.  My card today uses traditional Christmas colors and I added a bit of distressing to give it a little bit of vintage feel.  I’ve taken a couple of pictures so you can see the dimension and the openings.  I’m using elements from three different sets  including one of the borders from Whimsical Christmas, the border from Christmas Ornaments  and a sentiment from Christmas Nested Frames

I’ve taken an odd angle shot here (from above) but just to give you an idea of the dimension of the card.  The banner is bowed and at the bottom of the card you can see through the holes.  I cut the borders with Spellbinders Classic Circles SM and Standard Circles LG and then glued them in place.  Later I threaded the ribbon through and tied a bow finished off by a bright red pearl.

Here with the card closed the red from the inside shows through and provides a nice contract.  I love the texture on the card – the bottom pattern is Holly and the top is Stripes – and has the same effect if you had stamped with Versamark and embossed with clear embossing powder.

Card Recipe:
JustRite Stampers:  Whimsical Christmas (Catalog page 3), Christmas Ornaments (Catalog page 5), Christmas Nested Frames (Catalog page 18), Paper:  Bazzill Glaze, Bazzil
Ink:  Versafine Onyx Black, Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Accessories:  Spellbinders Classic Circles LG, Spellbinders Classic Circles SM, Ribbon, Pearl, Tombow Markers

I didn’t want to forget to tell you today is the last day to get your free catalog from JustRite Stampers.  You can see the details and get the coupon code from THIS post.  Have a great day!!

Hey Becca, I am so glad I found your blog. I have seen some Just Rite stampers, but didn’t know much about them. So I requested a free catalog. It came yesterday! I can only say WOW! There are so many beautiful stamps. But the versatility is the biggest and bestest part :) So I’m going through it slowly… page by page. And am making my list. Of course I won’t be able to afford to buy a bunch at once. (I live on a fixed income) But I am amazed at the low pricing! I think I’ll start off with a kit and then add to it a bit at a time. I like the oval stamper with a font. Then I could add to it. When I decide to order, do contact one of you gals, Or go to the website?

Thanks for sharing all the lovely creations.ReplyCancel

Another innovative design idea. Love the separation at the bottom for the see-through aspect….it just would never have occurred to me! Very clever and effective. Your curved banner is great, too, but all my cards go through the mail…which is why most all your card designs are off limits to CASEing by me. But I sure do admire them! TFSReplyCancel

Wow, Wow, Wow what a stunning and gorgeous card Becca. The color combination is so beautiful. I absolutely love those Just Rite stamps, they keep coming out with more and more awesome stamp, I have a few and would love to buy some of the Christmas ones, but like a lot of people have had to cut back on my expenses.

Norma, you said it best “Jesus is the reason for the season”, sadly so many get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the holiday shopping season and we forget the true meaning of Christmas. I hope everyone is having a happy and blessed week.ReplyCancel
