Flourishes Friday – All That Glitters

I hope that everyone had a restful and memorable Thanksgiving.  If you’re headed out shopping this morning, please be careful and watch out for your fellow shoppers.  I’m afraid it’s just too hectic for me out there, but I’m wishing good sales and fabulous finds for those of you who are adventurous enough to brave the crowds and traffic.

Today I’m sharing a card made from one of my favorite Flourishes sets.  The set is called All that Glitters and what an appropriate name; the entire set is a variety of ornaments of differing shapes and sizes – ready and waiting for you to glitter them up!  The card I designed uses three of the ornaments from the All That Glitters Set, it uses the sentiment from the Holiday Greetings set and uses the largest flourish from the Flourished Elements set.   Well you know I had to give all those sets some love!!

To give some weight to the bottom of the design I added a small Spellbinders element using the Spellbinder Classic Oval Large and the Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Oval Large.  For embellishment, I picked ribbon, of course, and I’m so addicted to those small half pearls!

Recipe:
Stamps:  Flourishes:  All that Glitters, Holiday Greetings, Flourished Elements
Paper:  The Paper Company:  Blonde Columns, Embossed Swirls, Gold Linen
Ink:  Versamark and Gold Embossing Powder
Accessories:  Spellbinders Classic Oval Large, Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Oval Large, Ribbon, Gold Pearls, Gold Jump rings

Thanks so much for stopping by!!  Happy Shopping!

Happy day after Thanksgiving! I have come to the conclusion that there is no one out shopping today! I keep reading how everyone is staying at home because it is too busy out today — I too subscribe to that. Here I sit reading and I think I may go try my hand at a card or two in a bit. Speaking of cards, once again this is a beauty. I have seen so many other cards with this concept, but Becca you bring an elegance like no other. This is stunning!ReplyCancel

    Hi Becca,

I am new to your website/blog, and I have to say I just love all your work.

I have only recently purchased some spellbinder dies to use on my cuttlebug, and you have given me so many ideas on how to use my dies and cuttlebug templates. Your work is an inspiration to me. Thankyou for sharing your wonderful creations.

The past few days I have gone back over all your work to the day you first started your blog, you have an amazing talent, keep up the good work.

    Becca,

If possible, I would like to know the dimensions of this card. I would really like to make one like this but I am a very green newbie and don’t know where to start. I hope you get this message as it is quite a few days after you posted this beautiful card. I have this stamp kit and I would love to play around or attemp to make a card like this. Thanks so much,
