All is Bright

Christmas Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using Spellbinders Holly Tags Two, Spellbinders A2 Scalloped Borders One and Unity All is Calm All is Bright - www.amazingpapergrace.com
Hi there friends!  Forgive me, I must have a smidgen of Christmas, okay?  I know, I know, it’s kinda of early but the thing is I have new stamps and new dies and can’t wait to show them!  Today I’m sharing a traditional Christmas card and it just feels right.  You know, that one card that feels traditional, it feels just like Christmas – well, this one does to me.  Just what I need to kick off my holiday agenda!

Christmas Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using Spellbinders Holly Tags Two, Spellbinders A2 Scalloped Borders One and Unity All is Calm All is Bright - www.amazingpapergrace.com
On a 6″ square card base I added a panel of design paper matted with gold.  On top of that I added Spellbinders A2 Scalloped Borders One on the left edge of the card cut from red.  I then took Spellbinders Holly Tags and snipped it in half vertically and added a red panel matted with gold and then my image stamped on cream.  Bow, button, shazam!!

It’s never too early to start thinking about Christmas cards.
It takes a lot of thought to come up with the perfect card – which means a lot of time to plan out the final design.
    thanks for sharing

Beautiful as always, Becca! Your designs are so balanced in proportion. I struggle with that at times.
The design paper you used is one of my favorites. Enough pattern without being too busy. Love this card!ReplyCancel

These are my favorite Christmas color combinations. It’s never too early for starting on Christmas cards. I already have the message and thinking about the front of the card. I am almost done with my Thanksgiving cards which I have to finish before I start the Christmas ones. Your card is beautiful.ReplyCancel

Hi Becca, You do get mileage out of your Spellbinders curved borders. All my borders are stored in an Art Bin located on the highest shelf pretty much out of reach. I must get them down and start to think like Becca. Great red addition to the card. You do it every time–take something that’s just OK and turn it into something grand. Your bows do help, too. Many thanks. BarbaraReplyCancel

Don’t be apologizing for Christmas cards! I finished mine LAST month!!! LOL! I decided a few years back that waiting until even November was just too stressful. I remembering telling my mother that the next year, if I didn’t do them sooner, I wasn’t going to make any–I’d just mail bought cards!! I’m so glad to be making them in the summer as I really enjoy it so much that way! That being said, I love your card, of course! :) I really like the patterned paper you used! It looks so pretty with the gold! Beautiful!ReplyCancel
