A Sweet Daydream

Hello there.  It just doesn’t get any sweeter than this!!  Yup, this is another one of my favorite, favorite, favorite  type of Penny Black stamps!!  This stamp is called Daydream and is available at Stamper’s Dream.  This is one of the ones that was brought back from retirement.  She’s new to my collection and I found her a breeze to color up because a sample is on the mount – I even went pretty much with the same colors :-)  She’s as easy to work with as the ballerina I showed last week, and as adorable!

I punched the edge of my cardstock with an EK Success Daisy punch and lined the back side with some pretty pink Cosmo Cricket paper — I used the other side of the paper behind the focal image.  I tied a bow across to of the slots created with the punch.  I coloed the image using Copic Markers on Prism Simply Smooth Ivory Cardstock, then after coloring the image I added some pleats!!  These little ones just make my heart melt!

Here are the Copic Markers I used on her:

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Courtesy of Stamper’s Dream – Penny Black – Daydream
Paper – The Paper Company – Blonde Columns, Cream White, Cosmo Cricket  – Honey Pie, Prism Simply Smooth
Ink:  Memento – Tuxedo Black
Accessories:  EK Success Daisy Border Punch, Pearls, Ribbon, Copic Markers

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I’m getting ready for all the big blog hops that are coming soon.  I’ll be back when I can with a new card :-)

This is a great card Becca. I would never think to add ribbon pleats as an emblishment. I tried to do paper pleats and I didnt like the look so that was the end of that thought. Your work is amazing.

I also agree with Sandi, how do you store your stamps? You must have hundreds. Thank you again for sharing your wonderful work.ReplyCancel

She´s such a little cutie, and you did a great job on painting her. But how did you make these folds down under the stamped image? Or is it just me, who don´t get at all, how this is done? It sure looks wonderful, but I just can´t either see or read, how you made it look like this??
    Have a great week-end.
