Sweet friends, my head is spinning! 5 states, 500 miles in a car, 15 apartments, 1 really bad hotel, 2 sleeps, 500 more miles in a car, repeat 4 states and I’m back home within 48 hours. I don’t do that very often, but when I do, I remember it, lol. So what happened is my daughter (the one who just graduated with second degree) is getting transferred with her job. We set out to find her a place to live since she has to move within two weeks. I’m so happy for her but so sad that she won’t be around the corner any more . . . At any rate, we set out at midnight and drove all night – who does that? I’ve learned that at my age, it’s not as easy as it used to be!! Thankfully before leaving I had several cards done and uploaded so that they could easily be posted; a blessing for me because I’ll be a bit busy for the next week. Today I’m sharing another card for the stash that tugs at my heart, it’s another of the new releases from Our Daily Bread Designs called Sharing Your Sorrow.
I dug into my stash and pulled out some K and Company stickers – the magnolia’s are beautiful! As I mentioned before I feel so guilty using them, like I’m cheating, but hold still — that feeling is sure waning because these don’t look like stickers at all to me :-) For the decorative corners I used Spellbinders™ Asian Accents. For the sentiment I used Spellbinders™ Labels Twenty Eight and the decorative layer underneath is Spellbinders™ Decorative Labels Eight. I just felt that something should be in the bottom right corner that I left open so I pulled in an element from some Want2Scrap bling!

As always, I love how you’ve pulled all the elements together. The blues you’ve chosen are serene, yet they pop (at least for me!) I also really like the elements in the corners between the layers. I think those dies will have to go on my (very) long wish list!

I’m happy that your daughter found a good job, but sad for you. My son and family are 15 hours away, so I know how lonely it can be without them.

Oooh Becca, this is sooooo beautiful again, and I´m in total awe about this one, as it´s also kept in blue, which is just my favorit color too, so to me this is sooo perfect as can be. I absolutely love it.
Hope you´re not wearing yourself too much out with that tuff program, but hope you found your daughter a good place to live thoug. I know how much it means to any of us to feel our kids can stay safe and good.

Gosh, I understand that traveling. We did the same thing last year when our daughter moved to Nashville except that she could not be with us & we drove all over Nashville TN looking for an apartment for her. We kept getting lost. Headed into a nasty storm but finally found a nice apartment for her.I don’t know how you found time to do & post the card. I was wiped out after our journey. Beautiful card, just love your work

Wow, do I hear you, Becca!! It takes me two days to recuperate from anything over 6 hours sitting in the car. If I had to turn right back around and do it again, I’d be needing lots of extra rest when I got home!! Thank goodness for paper crafting. Not exactly a strenuous sport, right? And it can be so absorbing, you forget the aches and pains. I have got to do more of that Want2Scrap stuff… I love that little corner piece… I love the whole card! This is a beautiful card but I always have mixed feelings about that verse.
